Namrata Shrestha debuted in 2008 movie Sano Sansar and was instantly hit. She does designated movies and has been successfully as an actress and a model. Firstly Namrata started by acting in theatre, print and television commercials, music videos.

A sex video scandal at the time of the release of her 2nd movie Mero Euta Sathi cha, was a major setback in the career of the rising star. After life threating incident she went into hiding and didn’t sign any movie. She did as a guest appearance in 2010 movie called First Love. Shrestha was firstly considered in the 2013 movie Kollywood and she had also participated in the induction ceremony of the movie.
